June 30 – The Flow of Divine Love

When I think about God’s love, I picture it as a river—always flowing, never stagnant. At its source is the heart of God, pouring life into the world. That love flows to me, but  it was never meant to stop with me. The moment I try to dam it up—holding it only for myself—it loses its vitality.

Over the years, I’ve learned that my role is not to manufacture love but to keep myself open to it. My spiritual practices, my relationships, even my work, are all ways to keep the channel clear so love can pass through. Some days, the flow is a trickle because fear, resentment, or busyness have clogged the channel. Other days, when I’m grounded in God’s presence, the love flows freely and abundantly.

We receive so that we can give. And in giving, we find ourselves receiving all over again. Love is not a possession—it’s a movement, a divine rhythm of in-breath and out-breath.
