January 28: What is Yours to Do?
I have done what is mine to do. May Christ teach you yours. St. Francis
Gregg’s Reflection
After nearly 25 years in my second career of coaching and mentoring next-generation leaders for the Kingdom, I can say the peace and joy of living into God’s design far outweigh any worldly definition of success. The shift from investing in things to investing in people changed everything for me.
I remember Bob Buford saying at the Halftime Institute, “The fruit of my work grows on other people’s trees.” That line became a guiding principle. My calling now is less about personal achievement and more about empowering others to live their own God-given purpose.
Living this way requires clarity, surrender, and trust. It’s not about doing everything—it’s about doing the one thing that is yours to do, with your whole heart. That’s the work God has entrusted uniquely to you.
Scripture
I glorified you on earth by finishing the work that you gave me to do.
John 17:4
Ancient Quotes

Modern Quotes
The commitment to the spiritual journey is not a commitment to pure joy, but to taking responsibility for the whole human family, its needs and destiny. We are not our own; we belong to everyone else.
Thomas Keating, The Mystery of Christ: The Liturgy as Spiritual Experience
